Medical Studies in Taylor's University, Lakeside Campus

I matriculated at Taylor's University, Lakeside Campus on March 2014 after succeeding the selection process that required me to attend an interview session with a panel of lecturers. I have also received the Taylor's Medical Excellence Scholarship. Before I decided to enroll myself at Taylor's University, I had done a few of my own research on different local universities in terms of their education quality, facilities and the education system that they adopt in teaching medicine. I learn that in Malaysia, there are two distinct education systems that are used by different medical universities. One being a traditional way of learning in which medical students learn Anatomy, Physiology and Biochemistry in their first year and Pathology, Microbiology and Pharmacology in their second year. On the other hand, a more modern and integrated approach requires students to learn all the subjects on first and second years based on human body's systems that include cardiovascular system, respiratory system and others. Taylor's School Of Medicine opted for the latter approach.
